NB. Unfortunately the tricks that this application relies on don't work with 64 bit processors. I'm leaving it here as a curiosity! To find similar applications that *do* work, try Mark Russinovitch's SysInternal's site at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/default.aspx
It sounds like an easy thing to do - display a list of files in use, together with the application that's using each one. But it's one of the trickiest demo on this web site. Undocumented NT APIs, mysterious hardware structures - they're all here in my File Handle Analyzer
File Handle Analyzer works with NT4, Windows 2000 and XP.
